I started searching for ways to satisfy my creativity during those long periods when my littlest was napping. Sure, I could’ve done laundry, but what’s fun about that? I soon got into scrapbooking. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before scrapbooking seemed to swallow up my entire dining room table! There were stickers and die cuts and glue sticks everywhere (courtesy of my two sons).   I finally decided to pack it all in.

Not long afterwards, a friend introduced me to the art of jewelrymaking. I instantly fell in love with it and knew that I had finally found the perfect way to satisfy my creative needs. After years of experimenting and giving loads of free jewelry away to family and friends (much to their delight!), I finally decided to start listening to what many of them were saying, “Why aren’t you selling your designs on the web?”

I really had no good answer. Why wasn’t I?

So, I took a website design class and did some research on the business aspects of it all, got my designs in a really cool and kitchsy shop called Handmade Galleries in Sherman Oaks, CA and in Dec. 2008, LinnyGirl Designs made its debut on the worldwide web.

So here I am, off and running, still learning some lessons along the way, and still trying to figure out how to get my dining room table back!.
